Voice Terminal Commands

FEATURE DECODER TABLE

The people who printed up the labels for the feature directories for our phones where obviously charging by the character, so here is a decoder table for your feature directory:

PROGRAMMING PHONE NUMBERS

You can program your phone with up to 16 phone numbers: one that doesn't need a code number (automatic dialing) and 15 with code numbers 01-15 (abbreviated dialing).

To program your phone, press *0 to put it into programming mode. While in programming mode, you can repeat the following process as much as you like; hang up when done.

CALL COVERAGE AND FORWARDING

I haven't yet figured out the interaction between call forwarding, call coverage, automatic forwarding to the receptionist and automatic forwarding to your voice mailbox. Some of the things I have figured out:

USING YOUR VOICE TERMINAL

To put someone on hold: F# Hangup

To take someone off hold: Pickup phone


Voice Mail Commands

Dial 5-5100

LOGIN:

# passwd # login with default phone number
num # passwd # login with explicit phone number

ACTIVITY MENU:

1 SEND outgoing message
2 GET MESSAGES (first new, then old)
3 RECORD greeting; use the greeting? [Y/N]
4 REVIEW FILES (filed messages, outgoing messages)
54 num # num # set new password

GLOBAL COMMANDS:

*R go to ACTIVITY MENU
**R logout and LOGIN again
*H help
*W wait
**N query the names/numbers directory

REVIEW FILES:

0 play message
1 SEND (modified message to additional recipients)
2 rewind (additional 2's => go to previous messages)
3 play header (this requires rewind first!)
# next
*D delete; next

GET MESSAGES:

0 play message
1 RESPOND
2 rewind (additional 2's => go to previous messages)
3 play header (this requires rewind first!)

1 stop/start (start without rewind appends)
