  • convened last summer, met every week for about 12 weeks, one of the members was Larry Davis
  • unanimously recommends that the grad school remain separate from the office of vice president for research, with the dean reporting to the provost

• The Senate CORE Committee (Betsy Beise, Chair) proposed to delete the lab subcategory from the math and formal reasoning category of the CORE distributive studies requirements. The motion passed unanimously.
  
  
• The Senate Faculty Affairs Committee (William Adams, Chair) proposed to add the title of College Park Professor. The motion passed with a large majority.
