Roberta Cochrane
Biographical Note
Roberta Cochrane is a Research Staff Member at the IBM Almaden Research
Center in San Jose, California. She received her Ph.D. in Computer
Science from the University of Maryland in 1992. Currently, she is
involved in research for technologies to support Business Intelligence
in relational database management systems. She has also done
extensive research in active database systems. She implemented the
Starburst Rule System and led the design and implementation of
triggers and constraints for both serial and parallel versions of IBMs
DB2 Universal Database System. She played a major role in defining
the SQL3 standard for triggers and constraints.
