Juliana Friere

Biographical Note

Juliana Freire is a Member of the Technical Staff in the Database Systems Research Department at Bell Laboratories, Lucent Technologies. She received a BS from Federal University of Ceara' (Brazil), and MS and Ph.D. from the University at Stony Brook, all in Computer Science. Her early research focussed on optimizing evaluation of Datalog programs, and recently she has been working on various issues related to integrating and querying heterogeneous data sources, such as the ones found in the Web.
