Joseph M. Hellerstein
Biographical Note
Joe Hellerstein
received an A.B. degree in Computer Science
(1990) from Harvard University, an M.S. degree in Computer
Science (1992) from U.C. Berkeley, and the Ph.D. degree in
Computer Science (1995) from the University of Wisconsin,
Madison. After a post-doctoral semester at the Hebrew
University in the fall of 1995, he joined the faculty of
U.C. Berkeley, where is currently an Assistant Professor.
His research interests include indexing for non-standard
workloads, data analysis and visualization, query processing,
and database rule systems.
