New Graduate Research Assistants
Requests for new graduate assistant are done online at:

Once the appointment is completed, the graduate office will generate an offer letter for this student, and the Business Office will contact them for any necessary paperwork.
For GRA Renewals and Terminations
The Business Office will send out requests for renewals at the beginning of each semester and the Summer. For renewals and GRA Terminations:

New Employees
Staff and Faculty Research Assistants/Associates
You must first contact the Chair's office for all employee requests other than graduate students and hourlies. Staff and Faculty Research Assistants/Associates must be approved at the campus level before payroll can be processed. If you would like to add an employee to one of your research grants, please contact your account manager (cheri@cs.umd.edu, joann@cs.umd.edu, kathleen@cs.umd.edu)
Current Employees
For all current employees, including Graduate Research Assistants, if you would like to change accounts or dates paid for current employees, please contact your Account Manager (cheri@cs.umd.edu, joann@cs.umd.edu, kathleen@cs.umd.edu) to complete a Payroll Action Change form.
Terminations
If you will be terminating an employee other than a Graduate Research Assistant (use https://www.cs.umd.edu/graddb/facultyforms/GRAlist.php), please contact your Account Manager (cheri@cs.umd.edu, joann@cs.umd.edu, kathleen@cs.umd.edu) to complete a Payroll Action Termination form.
Please note that for Staff, Faculty and Faculty Research Assistants/Associates, payroll action forms must be signed by the Chair's office prior to termination.
