Approximate EXAM dates and GRADING pattern.

Grading

Exams will be given on Thursday evening and they will be an hour and a half long, with all sections taking the same exam at the same time. In order to take a makeup exam, you must bring a documented university-approved excuse, and you must contact us before the time of the exam. You must also bring the documentation and contact information for your employer or doctor, etc, so that we may verify that you had a legitimate excuse. If you have a conflict during the final exam, you must contact your instructor at least two weeks before the final exam to arrange a makeup final. Verification of Visit forms from the health center are NOT sufficient for obtaining a makeup exam. The excuse must indicate the specific dates when you were unable to attend class. You will not be permitted to use calculators or any other aids on the exam.

I will post extra practice problems and more things for the number theory questions which were not covered by the previous semester's exams. These are provided in postscript form. These postscript files can also be printed from your UNIX account (the Exams directory in jp250001) - to give you options.
