Regrade Request Policies

All policies regarding requests for regrades are outlined below. Please note that any requests for regrading of class material not done according to the guidelines below may result in that request being denied.

The "Official Regrade Request Form" can be downloaded and printed via the following URL's or picked up from the head grading TA:

The deadline is no more than 1-2 weeks after the material in question has been returned to the class at large. Meaning if a quiz is returned in lab on Monday, Feb 23rd ANY AND ALL regrade requests for that quiz are expected to be turned in by Monday (March 8th) at the very latest - any requests made more than 1-2 weeks after the assignment was returned must be accompanied by written documentation as to why the request is being made late and there is no guaranteed that it will be accepted.
 [* -- Estimated Date]

Note that answers to exams (except final exam) are also posted on or around the same day that the assignment in question is returned in lab section.

Regrade Policy:

  1. Print out and complete the "Official Regrade Request Form" and attach it (either with a staple or paper clip) to the original graded assignment returned to you.

  2. Turn in the material from step 1 to your lab section TA (before or after class only), or your instructor (before or after class or during office hours).

Note: you must turn in this request by the deadline outlined above unless you are physically incapable of doing so (in which case you will need to fill out and submit an "Official Excuse Request Form" to gain permission to turn in a regrade request late).

  3. Your instructor will then review and process your regrade request. Upon regrading your assignment your instructor will return it to the teaching TA of the lab section for which you are registered. Your teaching TA will then return the regraded material in the next lab section. Please allow up to 2 weeks for this process to occur and the paper to be returned to your teaching TA.

If after 2 weeks your regrade request has not been processed please contact your instructor during any of their posted office hours.

  4. If you have any question concerning a regrade request you must see your instructor in person during any of their posted advising hours. The instructor(s) of the course will not answer any regrade related questions until after you have filled out and received back the "Official Regrade Request Form".
