Homework 1: Design Critique
(due: September 9)

Write a one-page critique (one side with 10-point font) of a health information website (suggested web sites are below, but you may chose another that you know). These are large sites, so explore for a while to gain an overview, and then navigate based on the scenarios described below. Use the Eight Golden Rules (in Chapter 2) as the structure for your comments, but go beyond them if you like. Be sure to describe positive aspects, and also make suggestions for revisions. Please work carefully to produce a thoughtful well-organized, well-written page that makes constructive suggestions.

Here are three scenarios to guide your exploration:
1) 65-year old male seeking information about slowing the progress
of Alzheimer's Disease
2) 20-year old female college student, who has returned from an
Asian trip with severe stomach pains
3) 30-year old father in shock about his 12-year old daughter's
leukemia diagnosis
