The current version of DDAS is only a preliminary version and not ready for public release. Currently, patients can log in to already created accounts, enter new blood sugar readings by hand, and view graphs of the data. These graphs are initially in a 7-day view, and rolling over any single graph brings an enlarged version to the side for single-day viewing. Doctors can login to a separate screen from the patients, where patient information can be viewed and changed.
Future Work and Recommendations
If we were to continue our work on DDAS, we would add a few things before releasing the software to the public. Automatic downloads of data from blood glucose meters would provide more convenience to users. Doctors should be able to search through the patient's blood sugar readings to find instances of high or low readings. Also, a final version would be connected to an online database rather than a local database for easy access by both patients and doctors.
