Creating Snapshots in Windows

Press the PrintScreen button (PrtSc or Prnt Scrn). This will
place a copy of the screen in the clipboard.

Use paint (or any other image processing program), select the portion
of the screen image you need, and save in a file with the appropriate
format.
Creating Snapshots in a Mac

Press shift, apple key and number 4 simultaneously. You will notice
the mouse pointer will change. Select the area from the screen to want
to copy by positioning the mouse at the upper left corner of the area you
want to copy, pressing the mouse button and then dragging the mouse to your
right. After releasing the mouse button you will see a snapshot of the area
on your desktop.
- Alternative #2
Press the keys Command (the one with the Apple) at the same time that you
press the Shift key and the 3 key. This will create a file in the desktop
that you can edit.
