Project
Heal City is an app designed to help citizens of Hyattsville live better, healthier lives. The app rewards users for number of steps and eating healthier. Users are also rewarded for engaging/volunteering with their local communities and using public transportation. Users can set their own daily goals and earn achievements for reaching goals. Users can also add others to their friend’s list to see how others are doing on their goals/achievements. Completing goals and taking steps rewards the user with points, which they can use to purchase things such as coupons with local businesses.
