As each is assigned, a link to its full description will be inserted on this page. Project 1 (10%)
In project 1 you will work on a task centered design and initial prototype
for a system. You will need to find and work with example users to collect
task and usage data as well as to get preliminary feedback on your
prototype.
Project 2 (15%)
In project 2, you will redesign the system you created in project 1 using
what you have learned in class as well as discussions with potential users
and then implement and test your system. You will need to do informal user
studies as you go to get valuable feedback.
Project 3 (10%)
You will run a user study on another group's project. I will make the
assignments of which group's project you will use. You will also do a
heuristic evaluation of that group's project.
Project 4 (7%)
You will need to take the user study and heuristic evaluation given to
you by the team that was assigned to use your program for project 3 and
create both a timetable for revisions, as well as make the first set of
revisions to your program and submit that revised version for grading.
