03/06 Midterm on 3/30, in class.
02/23 Project Proposals will be due March 7 instead of March 2
02/20 Written solutions to questions 1-5 of hw2 are due Tuesday 2/21 at the start of class. Solutions to questions 6-7 are due Thursday 2/24.
No class on 2/9!!!.
Class accounts (on linuxlab.csic.umd.edu) were handed out 2/2. If you do not have an account see either the TA or the professor.
The WEKA website has been down for a while. Please use the following sourceforgelink to download WEKA http://sourceforge.net/projects/weka/
Please remember to turn in hardcopies of your homework in class on Thursday Feb 2.

Also (by the same deadline) email (raaghav AT gmail.com) a zip file containing:

1) a README which describes the attributes of your dataset (including the type of each attribute - e.g. nominal/numeric)
2) The actual dataset in csv format.

Please make the subject line of the email "cmsc726 hw1"

Please send me email if your dataset is large (say > 10MB) - we can figure out a way for you to submit your dataset.
