Homework #5: Paper Prototyping (100 points)
(Due 03/13/08)

A user goes to the http://www.travelocity.com web site and reserve a flight between two US cities. During the interaction, the user performs the following actions:

• set the depart and return date and time,

• select the number of adults in the trip,

• select the inbound flight,

• select the return flight,

• enter the credit card information.

You are to build a paper based low fidelity prototype mock-up of this scenario.

1. (70 points) Build the corresponding low fidelity paper based interface following the guidelines presented in the reading. You should not use screen snapshots, but instead sketch the different elements of the interface (pages, buttons, pop-up windows, scroll lists...) on paper so that your interface can be used to simulate the interactions described above. Please include all the elements of your interface in an envelop.
   
   
2. (15 points) Using the paper interface you just constructed and a copy machine (or a digital camera), build storyboard showing the key steps of booking a flight n this site. Be sure that the copies are sharp so that we can see what happen (or alternatively that your pictures are at least 1600x1200.
   
   
3. (15 points) From your study of this interaction, describe at least 2 ways to improve the current design. Explain all your answers.
