A better car navigation system

While very useful, car navigation systems are sometime difficult to use. The goal of this project is to design a new user interface for a car navigation system. After identifying the shortcomings of current systems, propose and implement a new interface for a car navigation system. For this project, it is very important to consider the possible impact of the new interface on safety. To be successful the implementation should also not only consider the software interface, but also how the interface is integrated with the others pieces of information displayed to the driver.
