CMSC 422: Introduction to Machine Learning
Section 0201, Spring 2019

Tuesdays and Thursdays, 12:30 pm; Room CSI 2117
Instructor: Jim Reggia

The field of machine learning has been growing very rapidly during
the last decade, reflecting the successful application of increasingly
powerful computational techniques and the expanded opportunities for
data mining brought about by large amounts of online data. This course
provides a broad overview of existing methods for machine learning and
an introduction to adaptive systems in general. By the end of the semester
students should be familiar with the central concepts and the basics of
the most commonly used methods in this field.
