Note: you have access to the Eclipse environment through the WAM class account we have provided in class. However if you are planning to work at home then we highly recommend you install the Eclipse environment in your computer as accessing the Eclipse software remotely could be extremely slow.
During the installation process you may need an utility called WinZip used for managing .zip files. Note that it is $29, but the evaluation version is fully functional and does not expire. To download and install Eclipse on your personal computer:|

select Download J2SE SDK. On Windows, you need admin privileges. Be careful and don't confuse the JRE with SDK; you need the SDK. Install java by clicking on the file you downloaded.
Note: If you have any trouble launching Eclipse after adding the DrJava or AutoCVS plugin, close eclipse, delete the ".config" subdirectory in the Eclipse directory, and restart eclipse.
