Introduction to Virtual Reality

This class will teach you to use Unity to develop interactive virtual reality environments. We will go over writing scripts and shaders, as well as best practices in VR to enhance presence. The last day of class will be a demo day, where everyone demos their VR projects.

You have to be comfortable writing code to take this class. If you have taken CMSC132, you should be fine.

The class will take place in CSI 3107, from 1 PM to 7 PM on the 14th-16th and 20th-23rd of January.

There is a $100 fee to take the class, which will cover coffee/snacks and access to the VR equipment. The fee must be paid by the 18th of December, by seeing Sharron McElroy in AVW 4171.

The class is being taught by Shariq Hashme, an undergraduate who has worked on many VR projects in Unity and interned at Oculus over the summer.
