Using Default Installation
For information on how to use the default Eclipse installation on WAM/GLUE systems visit the web site:
Keep in mind that your WAM account will not provide access to a GLUE machine. To access a glue machine you need an glue account. As a UMCP student you are entitled to such account for free. The following site can provide more information regarding glue accounts:
http://www.helpdesk.umd.edu/topics/email/systems/glue/1302/
Using Non-Default Installation
You can also access Eclipse by logging on to one of the WAM/Glue linux machines. Computer labs with linux machines on campus are:
A.V. Williams Building Rm 1120
Mathematics Building Rm 2403F
Parking Garage II Rm 0504
After logging on to one of the linux machines follow these steps:
Open a terminal window (right-click and select XTerm)
In the terminal window type the following command
/pub/nelsonp/eclipse-linux-launcher
Usually the default and non-default installations use the same Eclipse version. The non-default installation will correspond to the Eclipse version used in CS1/CS2 during the current semester.
