Installing Canon imageRunner 3570 drivers

Unsupported Windows Vista systems

To add a new printer:

  1. In the search/command bar type in: printers
  2. Click the button that says Add a printer
  3. Select Add a network, wireless, or bluetooth printer
  4. It will begin searching, the default search does not find out network printers. Select The printer that I want isn't listed
  5. The select a shared pritner by radio button should be checked
  6. In the URL box, enter http://printer.cs.umd.edu/printers/queue where queue is either ps3 or ps4, depending on the queue you are setting up.
  7. Click Next
  8. Select Canon from the left column.
  9. Scroll down and select Canon ir3570/ir4570 PCL
  10. Click OK
  11. Choose whether or not you wish this printer to be your default printer
  12. Click Finish

Remember that unsupported machines must be on the local network or using the department VPN in order to print. Systems using the campus wireless network are not considered to be on the local network, and must use the VPN.
