Chair: Michael Terry (University
of Waterloo, Canada)
New developments often benefit from being presented,
discussed, demonstrated, speculated upon, and
generally questioned in more informal settings.
The workshops portion of the conference provides
just such a venue for the dynamic exchange of
new ideas, creations, and discoveries. We invite
proposals for full-day workshops focused on
specific topics and questions related to the
conference's broader themes. We are particularly
interested in topics likely to bridge the conference's
many communities. Proposals should be submitted
in the conference publications format (up to
four pages), and include: A 2-page extended
abstract, the objectives and expected outcome
of the workshop, the planned activities, the
background of the organizer(s), the anticipated
number of participants, and the means for soliciting
and selecting participants.
Proposals must be submitted to Michael Terry
at mterry@cs.uwaterloo.ca.
NOTE: ** The submission deadline is now
extended until DECEMBER 22, 2006 ! **
Proposals should be a maximum of 2 pages (extended
abstract) + 2 pages (workshop description).
The extended abstract will be published in the
conference proceedings. The extended abstract
should be a maximum of 2 pages and in ACM SIGCHI
two-column conference format. THE CORRECT
TEMPLATE FOR SUBMISSIONS IS AVAILABLE AT:
http://sigchi.org/chipubform/
Please note that *illustrations*
can be in color for the ACM Digital Library,
but will be printed in black and white for the
conference proceedings.
