Social Network Input DATA FORMAT for Phone-1

 

MINI CHALLENGE-3 (CELL PHONE CALLS) question  Phone-1:

What is the Catalano/Vidro social network, as reflected in the cell phone call data, at the end of the time period? 

 

General description 

Provide the social network using 2 tab-delimited files using the following specified format.
One file specifies the nodes and the other the links. 
In both files the 1^st row specifies the names of the variables, and the second row specifies the type of the variables.

Below we describe the specific variables we expect to find in the files for Phone-1, so we can automatically process and evaluate them.

 

 

Node File

 

Each node is a phone ID, with an Associated Name.  That name is the name of the person you believe the phone ID corresponds to.  When it is not possible for you to come up with any hypothesis for the Associated Name then use ‘Unknown’.

The 1^st  and 2nd rows are required and should mimic the sample below exactly, the rest is your data.

Link Data File

 

Each link connects a phone ID (ID1) to another phone ID (ID2).  The link is directed from ID1 to ID2.
