DIRECTIONS:

From the beltway: take Exit 27 if coming from the West, or exit 25 if coing from the East. Follow signs marked US-1 toward College Park. Go about two miles south on US-1, and make a right onto Paint Branch drive. Follow signs to parking garages. See the more complete directions. from the visitor center.

SYMPOSIUM Parking on June 1st:

The Symposium is at Skinner Hall.

The best option is to park at meter parking in the central Parking Garages ( marked (P) on this map - bring lots of quarters)
- OR you can park free in the peripheral student lots 1, 4, 9, or 11; but you will have to walk further to see everything. No permit is needed on June 1st because summer school has not started yet.
- OR you can use the cashier-attended visitor pay lot which is close to A.V. Williams’ building (the main location of the afternoon demos).

A free UMd shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the College Park Metro station to the Student Union in the center of Campus.

Expect a fair amount of walking to see all the demos. For special needs, please contact hcilsymposium@umiacs.umd.edu

Registration on June 1 will start at 8:15am in Skinner Hall (the entrance is between Skinner and Woods Hall). 

TUTORIALS AND WORKSHOPS on May 31st:

All tutorials and most workshops will be in the A.V. Williams Building (lower-right corner of the map). Follow signs to the appropriate room. For information, the HCIL administrative office is Room 3175.
