Project description:
We are investigating techniques to support selection of an item from a long linear list. This issue comes up for data-driven applications, such as e-commerce on the Web where a user must select a country, state, city, service, etc. The primary technique we are looking at is the application of fisheye views to linear lists. The image below shows a snapshot of the fisheye menu. Click on it to try a live demo.
