NETHERLAND:

Traffic near airport of Rotterdam and a few other cities.

http://verkeer.anwb.org/rotterdam/

One color continuous from white (fluid) to red (slow)

The White blends in the map and Red stands out.

SPAIN – Madrid

http://www.dgt.es/carreteras/Detectores/etdmad0.html

I didn't quite understand what the legend is (may be the thicker the line, the denser the traffic?)

CANADA: Toronto

Main focus is on cameras in limited areas (i.e. a few mainly straight road segments.)

Note the "which way is the camera facing?" link.

This site also provides a reasonably good system description for public

GREECE - Athens, (in English!)

update every 15 min

Large number of colors, hard to interpret at a glance.

Check the about... at http://frida.transport.civil.ntua.gr/map/aboutmap.html

VIRGINIA SNOW CONDITIONS

Color order is not obvious...

SEATTLE

Detailed Intersection Information

TEXAS

Closure Information

A good preview of where there is data before you zoom to see the details.

SMART TRAVELLER (e.g. DC)

http://www.smartraveler.com/scripts/wdcmap.asp?city=wdc&cityname=Washington_DC

This simple looking map is selectable, and for each area traffic conditions and

estimated time is given. But when I used it there didn’t seem to have a way to get an overview of where there was detail data,, i.e. no view of the accidents in the DC map overview. Links to camera (they seem to have their own cameras)
