PARKING ON JUNE 1^st (Tutorials & Workshops):

Arrangements for parking will be made individually with registrants based on the location of the event. Unless otherwise indicated, Tutorials and Workshops will be located in the main HCIL offices in the A.V. Williams Building (lower-right corner of map). Parking instructions will be mailed to registrants at a later date.

PARKING ON JUNE 2^nd (Symposium):

Please park in LOT 1 ONLY on June 2nd. No permit is needed that day because summer school is not in session. Metered Parking also available.

Expect a good amount of walking to see all the demos. For special needs, please contact Cecilia Kullman (cecilia@umiacs.umd.edu).

A free UMD shuttle runs every 15 minutes from the College Park Metro station to the Student Union in the center of campus.

DIRECTIONS:

• From Baltimore and Points North - Take I-95 South to Exit 27. Follow signs to US-1 toward College Park. Go two miles south on US-1, and make a right onto Knox Road. Follow Knox as it merges with Guilford Drive and make a right onto Preinkert Drive and the University of Maryland campus. Lot 1 is on your left.
• From Points South - Take I-95/I-495 North to Exit 25 and US-1 South toward College Park. Go two miles south on US-1, and make a right onto Knox Road. Follow Knox as it merges with Guilford Drive and make a right onto Preinkert Drive and the University of Maryland campus. Lot 1 is on your left.
• From Bowie/Annapolis and Points East - Take US-50 to the Capital Beltway (I-495) North. Exit the Beltway at Exit 25 (US-1) South toward College Park. Go two miles south on US-1, and make a right onto Knox Road. Follow Knox as it merges with Guilford Drive and make a right onto Preinkert Drive and the University of Maryland campus. Lot 1 is on your left.
• From Washington, DC - Take 16th Street North to Georgia Avenue North. Go about 1/4 mile to the Capital Beltway (I-495) East. Exit at Exist 25 (US-1) South toward College Park. Go two miles south on US-1, and make a right onto Knox Road. Follow Knox as it merges with Guilford Drive and make a right onto Preinkert Drive and the University of Maryland campus. Lot 1 is on your left.

Registration on June 2 will be held at 8:30am in Van Munching Hall (upper-left corner of the map). Van Munching Hall is directly adjacent to Parking Lot 1. Follow signs to the registration area.

TO THE HCIL MAIN OFFICE (MOST TUTORIALS AND WORKSHOPS):

Enter the A.V. Williams Building (lower-right corner of the map) using the center entrance. Take the elevator to the third floor and make a left. For information, the HCIL administrative office is Room 3175.

ACCOMODATIONS IN AND AROUND COLLEGE PARK:

Maryland's Office of International Programs has suggestions on where to stay in College Park, and places to eat. The Visitor Services Department lists some attractions in the area.
