All task switching times are found to be shorter with the Elastic
Windows interface with a statistical significance level of 0.05,
except for the low to medium complexity environment switching
( ).
For medium to low and and low to high the switching performances are
statistically significant at the 0.05 level ( ) (
).
For high to low and and medium to high the switching performances are
statistically significant at the 0.01 level ( )
(
).
For high to medium switching the performances are statistically
significant at the 0.001 level ( ).
A single outlier is detected using the Grubbs test in medium to high
and low to high complexity switching performance times. The outliers
are removed before the application of the statistical tests.
Figure shows the mean task completion times with
standard deviations, and minimum and maximum times.
