Alternative Layout Dynamics

 

In order to accommodate dynamics such as push, plow, and bubble for non-space-filling layouts, the window tree structure of elastic dynamics is modified. Basically, the new tree structure is no longer an ordered tree, and G-Node type and Position array are not needed. An example hierarchical non-space-filling window layout and its corresponding tree structure are shown in Figure gif. Here, H-Node A is the root window which has three L-Node children, nodes B, C, and D which are stored in no particular order.
