Twelve computer science graduate students, 11 of them having more than
5 years experience with a windowing system, participated in the
experiments. Seven out of 12 of the subjects had experience with 3 or
more windowing systems and 9 out of 12 use a windowing system for more
than 20 hours weekly. Detailed background information on the subjects
