Parallel Compiler Runtime Consortium

The goal of the Parallel Compiler Runtime Consortium is to develop a public domain software runtime environment which can be used by essentially all high level data parallel language compilers. The proposed runtime software infrastructure will support several projects developing different compilers for languages such as C++ and High Performance Fortran (HPF), so will make rapid prototyping of new compilers much easier. Further the software will also provide unified support for compilers of different languages and so enable experimentation with environments that simultaneously support several different languages.
