Psycology 101

A paragraph is a block element. If you increase/decrease the size of the window the paragraph will continue until the end or will continue on the next line.

Second paragraph in our example. The strong tag represents an inline element. Notice that we can set the borders of inline elements. Lists are also block elements. Notice how the block extends across the window.
