The Annual ISR/ EE/CS SKI TRIP
is the answer !

What ?
As many of you may already know, the ISRSA plans a one day trip each year to a local ski resort. This year, with a lot of help from the EE & CS departments, ISR and the Dean, we are able to bring you something truly special! The ISRSA would like to extend a special invitation to all graduate students and faculty members in EE, CS and the ISR for a TWO day (1-day optional) ski trip to Blue Knob, Pennsylvania. This is a wonderful opportunity for all the graduate students in these departments to meet each other, make new friends, and enjoy a great weekend of skiing!

When ?
The trip will take place on Feb 20 - Feb 21 (Friday and Saturday).

The departure is scheduled for Friday morning at 8:00am on the 20th of February and return - for around 10:00pm on Saturday. The trip includes 2 full days of skiing and one night accomodation! Skiing is planned for 1-10pm on Friday and then again from 9-5pm on Saturday. There might be an option for some 15 people to return late Friday night to College Park, with one of the vans, but this depends on the participation in the 2-days trip. Priority while scheduling will be given to the 2-days participants.

We meet at the entrance of the AVWilliams Bldg at 7:30am on Friday morning. EVERYBODY should be there for the head count (some of you haven't written your checks correctly!!! You will be contacted for that). We leave by 8:00am and after 2.5-3 hours we are at the challets. We leave our stuff, and we go directly to the ski resort. Since it is a professional establishment, we shouldn't worry about the weather and the snow conditions (I checked with them and there is going to be no problem). We will ski from 1pm to 10pm and then those in the 1 day trip will return back to College Park the same day. Those staying for the night, should bring their own towels!!! Also,if you have a sleeping bag it would be a good idea to bring it along (although we have been assured there are going to be beds for everybody). Next day we ski from 9am to 5pm and we come back to College park around 9pm.

Where ?
As it was mentioned above, the destination of the trip is Blue Knob, Pennsylvania. This ski resort offers a wide range of slopes and some of the best skiing in the area.
