I'm working on how to extend swarm intelligence by developing and studying a new swarm intelligence approach to abductive inference.

PhD Proposal

"Extending Swarm Intelligence to Abductive Diagnosis"

This research addresses how swarm intelligence systems using force-guided particles can be generalized as an inference method for abductive problem solving. The central hypothesis is that by allowing set of particles, rather than each single particle as in past self-organizing particle systems, to represent solutions to problems, one can generalize these particle systems to construct solutions to abductive inference problems. A fundamental question being asked by this research is how to formulate a high-dimensional self-organizing particle system to collectively construct explanations as a mechanism for abductive diagnostic problem solving.
