successful history of the cg-method shows us that we have to be careful when
interpreting the nowadays frequently used statement: "scientific
knowledge has an ever decreasing half life." It does not mean that all
scientific knowledge will become obsolete or even wrong in a few years after
its detection. Some inventions, especially in mathematics as shown by the
cg-method, remain valid for an unlimited time. |
