Coaster Rides: 1997
- Jan 31 - Feb 1: The season started out with a trip to EastCoaster '97 in
Allentown, PA. This included a look at Dorney Park's Steel
Force coaster, under construction.
- Mar 31: A spring break trip to visit my grandparent in Florida had to
include a stop at Busch Gardens Tampa. It was my first visit
to the park. I loved Kumba and Montu.

- May 18: I stopped off at Lakemont park on the way back to Maryland on Sunday.

- Skyliner
- May 24: For my birthday and memorial day weekend I make a trip
to Hershey Park. The Wildcat has broken in nicely and gives a fast
ride. I enjoyed the front seat the best (when the lap bar doesn't
ratchet down). New this year are a ferris wheel, whip, and kiddie
rides. The whip is a new model with 11 fiberglass cars and locking
lapbars. They also have new bumper cars built my G-ride corp. of
France. They look nice with lots of decorative lights and a neon
paint job. They are a bit slow at startup, and travel at an average
speed. The wheels turn completely around so you can drive backwards
:) but they yell at you if you do that :( The restraint is a bar that
comes down over the steering wheel.
