As can be observed, there has been some significant performance improvement using our suggested modifications. The results do indicate that the mechanisms that we have suggested are worth pursuing, to lead to an improvement of TCP performance for wireless networks.
To get better estimates of the of the modified system, it might be useful to actually change the kernel TCP implementation and then compare performance of unmodifed and modified TCP performance.
