Welcome to my page, I am Awalin Sopan, a graduate student at the the department of Computer Science, University of Maryland. I am a research assistant at the Human-Computer Interaction Lab. My research interest is primarily focused on applying visual analytics on networks. I completed my undergrad studies from the department of Computer Science and Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I completed my Masters in Computer Science from UMD in Fall 2011. Before coming to UMD, I worked as a software engineer at Escenic Asia ltd for two years and my job responsibilities mainly revolved around JavaEE based web development. Last summer I worked as a summer research intern at Xerox PARC.
