Florin Chelaru

Senior Software Engineer

I'm a Software Engineer for 15+ years. I've worked on large systems at Google, on the Cloud Monitoring team, and at Microsoft, on the Bing search engine team. I founded a startup called Twinfog, a location-based Reddit for building better expat communities. I have a PhD from University of Maryland, College Park and postdoc at MIT, where I built Epiviz, a visualization tool of large epigenetic data, featured in Nature Methods and adopted by Genentech.

Twinfog

Take a look at the demo video of the app I developed on my spare time while at MIT: Twinfog, an augmented reality social app for local communities.

Ask for help or opinions from people in your area, and set a deadline for answers – to make sure they are relevant.
