(NOTE- I have changed this one so the trick answer is true, but its still
stupid.)

QUESTION:
Bill has 6 blue socks, 8 white socks, and 10 black socks in a drawer.
How many socks does Bill need to take out of the drawer in order for Bill 
to have a pair that are the same color.

COMMON ANSWER: 4

TRICK ANSWER: 0. They are your socks, you already have 3 pairs of blue socks,
4 pairs of white socks, and 5 pairs of black socks.

COMMENTARY: This question was one of two questions that inspired the post. 
(The one about eastern most point in the US was the other.)
When I first read it
(in DUDE- CAN"T YOU COUNT?) I was annoyed and thought it was stupid.
on reflection however I think the general maxim is

If you SEE the trick, its a clever trick question.

If you DON"T SEE the trick, then its a stupid question.
