Poster Guidelines

Your poster will be the way you present the results of your study in class. It should include the following information:

Project title
Full names of group members
A 50-word-or-less abstract summarizing your project (in big legible type)
Visualization (unless you have a rare project where this doesn't make sense)
BRIEF summary of results
Information on the most interesting things you found. This should be your major content element.

You will be graded on your presentation including the design of your poster. Here is a site with good suggestions for designing a poster. Please read the text section especially - you should not have big blocks of text on your poster!

Posters should be the size of a standard poster board you can get at the store (22" X 28") or larger. You are welcome to print out multiple pages on your printer and attach them to a poster board - no professional printing is necessary. You can also do some of the work by hand - just be sure it looks good.

Half the class will present on Tuesday and the other half will present Thursday. You can sign up for a day on the wiki under course tools in ELMS. On the day you are not presenting, you will be required to visit people's posters, take notes, and answer a series of questions. You will be graded on those responses as well.
