Hi! I am a PhD candidate in the Computer Science Department at the University of Maryland, College Park. I am also affiliated with the Human Computer Interaction Lab. My advisor is François Guimbretière, who used to be a professor in Maryland and is now a professor at Cornell University. I followed him to Ithaca, New York to finish my PhD. Part of my work was supervised at Autodesk Research where I spent two summers as a research assistant in 2008 and 2009.

My research focuses on improving the interactions between humans and computers by designing novel interfaces. In particular, I create pen-based systems that allow users to bring the utility of computers to the familiar world of paper.
