My advisor is Prof. Jimmy Lin. My research interest lies at the intersection of deep learning, information retrieval and NLP. My PhD thesis is about modeling temporal contexts for text retrieval, with applications on social media search, voice search and human-machine conversation generation.
Recently I intern in the Comcast AI Research Lab, working on deep neural networks for improving their XFINITY voice search system. Our work was also awarded by the 69th Emmy Award (2017) for the technical contribution in advancing television technologies. In the past summers, I have interned at
Microsoft, working on machine learning related projects. I also served as program committee member or reviewer in some conferences/journals, including VLDB 2017, ICTIR 2017, etc.
