I'm a first year PhD student in the department of Computer Science at University of Maryland, College Park. I am advised by Dr. Aravind Srinivasan.

My research interests lie broadly in Design, Analysis and Applications of Algorithms. I am interested in devising algorithms which both contribute to push the state-of-art in theory as well as produce tangible impact in real-world applications.

Previously, I obtained a B.Tech(Hons), with a major in Computer Science and a minor in Operations Research, from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras. My brother and I spent our childhood days in the beautiful city of Bangalore, India.

    I was a summer intern at this bangalore-based startup between May and July 2012. During my period there, I was involved in creating a recommendation system for user interests, based on previously collected data about him/her from social network sites and his/her activity on the system.


    I played an interesting role at this emerging Silicon Valley/Chennai based startup during May and July 2014. This company was started by a few of my batchmates from IITM. I helped them prototype an initial mobile application over the summer, which was used to give a demonstration to potential investors.
