About Me

I am from the Bay Area. The San Francisco Bay Area, to be exact. I grew up in the South Bay, moved to the East Bay and I spent four and a half years at Berkeley. Now, I am on temporary hiatus from the West Coast, spending time in Maryland. Needless to say, the climate in the DC/Maryland does not thrill me.

My Hair

For some reason, I am known for my spikey hair (which isn't even that spikey). A few semesters ago, someone asked me if I was an undergrad. I asked them if it was because I looked young (because I do). The person told me no, it wasn't because I looked young, it was because I have spikey hair, and no grad students have spikey hair. Also, according to my officemate (who is Korean), if you talk about 'Nick Chen' the Korean grad students have no idea who that is. Now, if you bring up 'Spikey' then everyone knows you are referring to me.
