    I have yet to see a set of semantics for yield that provide the desired
guarantees without unduly restricting implementations. This has the feel of
(another) research problem to me. Furthermore, I don't want to encourage
people to use Thread.yield. Finally, I agree with David that this topic may
fall outside the scope of JSR-133.
