Sarita, Jeremey and I are engaged in some rather technical
discussions about how to formalize the memory model in a way that we
are both happy with. We do not anticipate that the discussions we are
having will have any impact on JVM implementors or Java programmers.
I hope we will have a summary of our discussions for the broader list
by Friday.
If anyone else wants to get into the blow-by-blow discussion, let me
know. But be prepared for messy details like the formalization of
causality.
