BattOr: Portable Power Monitor for Mobile Phones

A mobile phone power monitor that stores and streams.


Researchers use several tools to measure mobile phone power consumption, including: Monsoon's PowerMonitor, lab bench multimeters, and a rig attached to a USB data logger, which we used for the Bartendr project. We found these power monitors to be useful, but inadequate. We believe that a power monitor that will be adopted by the wider mobile phone research community must do the following:

With these criteria in mind, we designed BattOr, an open source, portable power monitor for mobile phones.
