I am a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science, University of Maryland, College Park. Prior to joining UMD, I did my MSc. (Integrated) in Software Engineering at Amrita Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, India (Bharathiar University) and then went on to do my M.S. (by Research) in Computational Engineering at Amrita University, Coimbatore, India.

 

Prof. Ashok Agrawala, Professor, Department of Computer Science is my Faculty Advisor. He is the Director of Maryland Information and Network Dymanics (MIND) Lab. He is also the Director of the Maxwell Lab @ UMD (a WiMAX Forum Applications Lab), the only of its kind in the western hemisphere and the second in the world.

 

Summer 09: Currently, I am a Research Assistant under Prof. Agrawala, at the MIND Lab.

 

Fall 08 & Spring 09: I worked as a Teaching Assistant under Nelson Padua-Perez and Fawzi Emad for the course CMSC132 - Object Oriented Programming - II at the Department of CS @ UMD, for the honors students. My responsibilities included holding discussion sessions, handling classes, grading quizzes, projects and home works.

 

June 2005 - July 2008: I worked as a Research Associate at the Centre for Excellence in Computational Engineering, Amrita University, Coimbatore, India.

 

June 2005 - July 2008: I also taught, as a Lecturer, at the Department of Computer Science, Amrita University Amritapuri Campus, Kerala, India.
