A rule-of-thumb is to balance programming-intensive courses with non-programming ones.
For example, pair CMSC420 with CMSC451. Some courses, such as CMSC 4345, offer group as
opposed to individual programming assignments. For some students, this might be an
important distinction. It might also mitigate the stress of pairing two programming intensive
courses within one semester.
